Ocean ‘dead zones’ increasing fast

In marine biology terms, ‘dead zones’ are oxygen-deficient coastal areas.  When there’s no oxygen, fish and other aquatic life cannot survive.

Sadly, the number of dead zones is rapidly increasing around the world.

Coral Reefs Dying from Global Warming

Mat Probasco of the Associated Press reported on October, 25, 2006, that “researchers fear more than half the world’s coral reefs could die in less than 25 years and say global warming may at least partly to blame.”

Red Tide Tracking – Florida

Red Tide turns seawater red due to algae.  The Bible mentions in the Book of Revelation that waters will turn red (blood) in the End Times.  Could red tide in fact be the substance to which Revelation terms “blood”?

Chinese River Mysteriously Turns Red

Audra Ang, an Associated Press Writer, reported on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, that a half-mile section of China’s Yellow River had turned “red and smelly.”
